‘The Great Pastie Supper’ is Menown’s tasty emblem for the East. A patron of The Bethany Fish and Chip Shop, Menown’s aim with her palatable poster in seaside blues and sunshine yellows, is to brighten places up. Working with black pen and describing the pastie supper as a guilty pleasure and a local delicacy, Menown’s poster proudly frames the golden chips and pastie with hand rendered early 20th century Typography and Rococo style embellishments. The poster is reminiscent of retro advertising signs, and is meant to make you salivate for what she describes as “Northern Ireland’s finest gastronomical delicacy.”
